Happy Birthday Dad!

My mom and dad have had a past of 'surprising' one another on their birthdays. I remember when my mom turned 40 and my dad had 40 cakes delivered to her at school. In May, my mom celebrated her birthday on the 23rd and their anniversary on the 29th. My dad was gone in Europe for business and when he returned he got quite the guilt trip from his friends. His reply, "Well it isn't like she has ever thrown a parade for me!" If you know my parents, this was a bad statement to make to my mother who takes everything literally! So last Sunday night after our trip to Waterloo, my mom gathered all her friends and neighbors to throw a parade for my dad's birthday. My brother was the designated photographer and said that he would try and send me some pictures later.

Happy Birthday Dad! Make sure that you are always around for mom's birthday and anniversary!
