14 Weeks and Lauren Lately

I'm back at work now....it sucks! Not many other words that can describe it other than that. Wish I didn't have to but it isn't an option right now. Before going back, we had some fun around the house.

Lauren enjoyed playing in the sink. She could literally play for HOURS in the water with dishes and a rag.

Miles is still in the "plant" stage (aka, you leave him in one spot and he isn't going anywhere)

I made a delicious 4 grain bread pot for a ladies night (plus Miles) making homemade pasta. 

14 weeks old!! He is getting so big and loves to laugh and wave his hands at us. He absolutely loves Lauren!!

speaking of Lauren...she fell asleep during our nightly chapter book; Matilda this time. This was her first day back at daycare and she was pooped! She made me reread the chapter to her the next day. 

We went to a Halloween party Friday night and she got to dress up as "Raisins" the clown. She is going to love Halloween each year. 

She won 3rd place at the contest. The winner was hands-down the best costume so I couldn't disagree with their choice :) She strutted her stuff down the catwalk though!

Kringla, 13 Weeks, & More Miles

My great grandma Cody is an excellent Kringla baker. She was known around town for her baking. I got ahold of the recipe last week and attempted my first batch!

 In they go!

 Out they come!

 Delicious. It made 4 dozen and they were gone in 24 hours to friends and our bellies!

 Miles wished he could have enjoyed them. He got his fingers instead!

 Lauren decided to duct tape his head.

 I have been making our own bread for awhile now...it is so scrumptious! This one is 4 grain honey bread.

Singing in the Rain...

11 & 12 Weeks

My big boy is 12 weeks old!! I love watching him grow and learn new things but reality is setting in that I have to return to work in 1.5 weeks. I know I am going to miss a lot but know that maybe one day we will be in a position for me to stay home. 

I just had to get this chunker naked for one week!

 The 11 week picture was right before his bath...his first bath with big sister. Lauren was so excited! Miles prefers his bath tub on the counter though, so far 2 out of 2 he hasn't been pleased with in the pink tubby.

 Watching big sister jump in the rain puddles at the forest preserve. I will post those pictures later ;)

 We brought up the bouncey seat this week to see if he could reach. Sure enough, he fits! 5-7 minutes is about his max though before he gets tired of holding himself up. 

 So alert and strong!

 This is Lauren at 11 weeks too! Don't they have similar features?? I think Miles looks more like me though!

My fault...I should have waited until after nursing him to take the 12 week picture!
